Orange report
A photo diary of a recent trip to Colorado with Kazushi Yamauchi, Hayato Doi and Kazumasa Yamada.
Being grateful to this planet, grateful to everybody they meet and showing gratitude to every opportunity. This is probably the only thoughts in the minds of these three live-simply snow travelers during their recent trip to Red Mountain, Colorado.
Here are a few shots for your viewing pleasure... Arigato!
DAY1

When we arrived at our destination, @redmtnalpinelodge, we were greeted with powdery snow.

Last night's snow continued to fall until morning, and on this day there were powder conditions everywhere. On the first day, I started out in splits aiming for nearby areas to get my feet wet.

The altitude of the lodge is 11,000ft (approximately 3,300m), and after just 10 minutes of walking, I was out of breath, my legs were tired, and I felt dizzy.

We finished the first day with the best routine of skiing one, then heading back to the Lodge.

DAY2

When we woke up in the morning, the bright sun greeted us.

We spent 2-3 hours hiking to the mountain peak and rode the only one chute that was open.

I can only thank you for everything.

Even with the unfamiliar feeling, I was able to draw the line I wanted without any problems.

When you reach your desired riding point, combine the two split boards into one and take off!

Splitboarding with like-minded friends in a beautiful lodge surrounded by mountains, a delicious vegetarian menu, and a heaven-like environment.
DAY3

We checked out of Red Mountain Lodge and headed to the ski resort in Silverton, a town at the foot of the mountain pass.

Just one lift takes you to the peak of the mountain.

There were several places to walk along the ridgeline and ski.

In order to continue Splitboarding, I want to appreciate and respect nature and enjoy snowsurfing!
Hayato “Shark Boy” Doi

It was a wild ski resort where you had to take a bus back to the lift station after skiing.

The mountain conditions were tough that day, so I gave up easily and decided to relax in the town of Silverton.
DAY4

I started using Splitboard during the simple and intense time of climbing and skiing mountains, and now I'm looking forward to going to the mountains more than ever.
