The pattern, "Kawari Sekkamon" was picked from "Ise Katagami" (carved wood stencil) which has been made to print patterns on Japanese Kimono fabric more than a thousand years ago.

It is believed that it was sketched from a snow crystal observed with a microscope that was first imported in the Edo era. Snow is a lucky omen for good harvest and snow on New Year’s Day is believed to be a sign for an exceptional harvest for that year. 

We hope that this pattern, used also on our T.T158 model, will bring an abundant harvest of happiness to you.
